EHR and Education Specialist (RN)

Location: Lima, Ohio

HCF Management Inc, a provider of rehabilitative and skilled nursing services for more 50 years, is seeking an experienced clinician to lead our EHR and Education initiatives. This position is for our Corporate office in Lima, OH but will req uire frequent travel to support our Care Communities throughout OH and PA. You must be an RN to be considered for this position.

Position Summary:
Develops, maintains, and coordinates with other regional team members to implement clinical competencies and education programs. Maintains electronic health records system across organization to include: updates as necessary, policies and procedures, education and competencies, and internal audit programs.

Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one’s feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift repetitively a minimum of 10 pounds up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to comple te performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others
Leadership ability to take action and achieve results through others
Must be able to read, write and understand the English language

Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the electronic records system
Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the eMAR system
Responsible for making updates to the EHR system as necessary
Responsible for updating policies as appropriate related to electronic records
Responsible for development and updating new employee orientation program regarding clinical competencies and competencies pertaining to electronic health records
Will set-up and provide on a consistent basis ongoing education for staff, physicians, physician extenders, and other ancillary service providers regarding use of the electronic records system < br>Responsible for communicating updates and upgrades to the electronic system
Responsible for troubleshooting issues that arise from use of the electronic records system
Responsible for development and maintenance of clinical competencies and education programs as necessary
Will coordinate implementation with other regional team members and nursing facility staff
Will participate in Operations group and assist in various operational initiatives
All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
Must have a valid Registered Nurse license; 5 years experience in Long-term care field.
